Lindy hop, as a dance and a community, means an atmosphere to me that I could not compare to anything else in the world. It is like becoming part of a magical bubble, which gives me so much positive energy that it is hard to put the feeling into words. I will always be grateful to fate, destiny, chance or whatever we want to call it that made me pluck up the courage and take part in that taster class after a shot at Lokál, and became part of this whole world.

I also love the fashion style of this era. I love being able to finally dress up, not only for an average Saturday night party, but with the help of the clothes and the accessories, I am able to become part of another era, another world, even if for a couple of hours only. These moments are always precious to me, as no matter how much I would want to add this to my everyday life, there is no way I’m putting on my Grandma’s most elegant pearls just to go down to Spar…
